Well, it's not going to be a typical Valentines Day, this year, with a National Lockdown, but I couldn't resist making a couple of these items for my little shop!
Loved the design by Holly's Hobbies "Owl Will Always Love You" Valentine Caddy Crochet Pattern. www.hollyshobbiescracts.com
Great scrap buster too, of all the red and pink wool left over from so many previous years of valentines day crafting!
Though I inevitably resorted to using what is fast becoming my favourite "go to" yarn for gifting projects. . . . Stylecraft Double Knitting! What more could a crochet blogger need (well, maybe more coffee and biscuits?)
This little fellow seemed to come to life as I worked on each little detail! Don't you just love amigurumi crochet for that warm, fuzzy feeling as your characters take shape?
What's an extra special feature of this Owl, is that he has a pocket or "caddy" at the front to pop in those little valentines treats. Wish I had had some little packets of love hearts left over for him to model for me.
But hey ho, it gave me an excuse to show off the earrings my hubby bought for me at Christmas time. . . . . which are not part of the deal by the way, if you do decide to pop into my website to purchase Mr Owl!
Thanks again, Holly's Hobbies, for a delightful pattern. Stay safe and well everyone and Happy Valentines Day with a difference!
